Research project

This module will help students acquire the skills and confidence to undertake supervised original research in the field of haematology and to formulate their idea to design and conduct good quality research. Candidates will be able to select a topic offered by the division or to design their project in collaboration with their personal supervisor and/or co-supervisor. Students will undertake critical readings, appraisal and analysis of the research literature and the topics will range from practical laboratory based projects to critical literature reviews. Students will be expected to produce a dissertation of 10,000 words.

On completion of this module students will be:
1. able to undertake a literature search in their field of study
2. capable to design and undertake a research project
3. able to analyse data and present findings
